# Armor ball

A spherical HDPE floating cover element, self-ballasting via partial water fill, used on small or irregular water bodies. Typical coverage ratio: 70–80%.

**Armor ball** is the spherical floating-cover format. In the EuroCover catalog, the
[Armor Ball AQUA](/products/armor-ball-aqua) product is the AWTT-manufactured sphere
EuroCover supplies for small and irregularly-shaped water bodies — where modular
tessellation isn't justified.

Spherical floating covers self-ballast via partial water fill on deployment. Coverage
ratio at full deployment is typically 70–80%, which makes them the alternative when
geometry permits — on most EU industrial reservoirs over 1,000 m², the hexagonal modular
covers ([Hexprotect® AQUA](/products/hexprotect-aqua),
[Hexofloat®](/products/hexofloat)) deliver higher coverage and longer design life.
