A single-piece sealed floating cover, typically geomembrane, with 100% surface coverage. Used where complete gas capture or environmental containment is required.
A continuous cover (or geomembrane cover) is a single-piece sealed floating membrane that provides 100% surface coverage. Continuous covers are typically anchored to the reservoir shoreline and require draining for installation. They are the appropriate choice for applications requiring full gas capture (methane recovery on biogas digesters) or environmental containment. For surface management (evaporation, algae, odor) on dynamic water bodies, modular covers are usually more cost-effective. The market-leading modular alternative is the AWTT-patented self-ballasting hexagonal cover — see /heritage for the engineering rationale.
